Curious about Reiki ? And is it Right For You?
by Kim Knesek
The word “Reiki” is a combination of two Japanese words: “rei,” which means “God’s wisdom,” or “the higher power,” and “ki,” which means “life force energy,” according to the International Center for Reiki Training. Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. Reiki is now used by a growing number of Americans to help with relaxation, anxiety, pain management, and depression. Reiki is a form of complementary and alternative medicine.
I consider reiki like a spiritual practice, almost like meditation where my clients lay fully clothed on my massage table and I use my hands and crystals to lightly touch or hover above your body. All your senses are calmed and relaxed in my office. If you want to go above and beyond (which I highly recommend) add on my PEMF mat (see previous blog post on that or ask me any questions you may have.
What makes my sessions unique?
While all reiki practitioner's are attuned this this therapy, I personally feel that my connection to spirit and personal work and growth really translates to an incredible experience for my clients. As a psychic I often "see" "hear" or "feel" on your body and energy places you have physical pain (without telling me) as well as emotions you have or blocked including seeing your memories, or getting a visual of things you see while laying on my table. My clients leave feeling lighter, happier, calmer, more relaxed than before they came in!
What do you do?
You show up open to healing and allow me to work, allow the reiki energy to guide me to where you are holding any blocks or in need of extra attention. I focus on your seven main chakras, having my hands hover above you in your aura or "Bio field" and aligning you to feel open and in flow with your life.
